Crowd funding success stories?

I'm specifically looking for our accessible indie film makers who have had success with crowd funding...
So specifically anyone on this forum with crowd funding success? I remember a handful of linked campaigns that have reached their goals but the sums were usually in sub 10k range.

Edited to add: IT member Nickclapper wrote an informative blog post on his successful CF campaign for his feature film Flight of the Flamingo.

what I got was a bunch of ass pony's posting their bull shit comments which is all the do and not actually make movies

If you give more info, you will get better answers. It's ridiculous to get mad at people for doing their best to answer vague questions.

Thank you for sharing. If I would have gotten this instead of the smart ass stuff wouldn't that have served everyone better. Not everyone is on here all day to know exactly where things are. Even a link to the thead that contains the info is helpful.

I'm not a lazy funk. I do search but there isn't 48 hrs in a day like we would all like and after searching and coming up nuts, I thought I'd just ask the community.

These forums are supposed to be helpful but I run into so many salty funks that it's annoying.

Thanks for the info for those who shared the other threads.

Wow. Thanks for sharing. What a useful forum

Garbage in = garbage out. You ask a garbage question, you get a garbage answer. If you don't have the respect for the forum users to ask what you really mean, show you've done some research and don't expect to be spoon fed, what do you expect? A personal assistant to go and find the information you are after?

You simply asked if there were any successful crowd funding stories out there. You got an accurate answer. Yes.

Assuming this is a pattern of yours, with the amount of effort you put into this post, if I were you, I'd avoid crowd funding. They really aren't for people who expect to be spoon fed.

Douchebags abound here.

Thanks for the info. Next time I ask a question I'll be sure to get your approval. If you took the time to read, you will see that I already explained my search efforts. And further research shows that to get to the ones that were finally posted that I'd have been digging for hours.

See... now let's come to the reel understanding. Making movies is tough. Making indies is damn near impossible and we don't all have the time to do every damn thing ourselves - it's why filmmaking is always a team effort. So stretched thin entering pre-production, having done ample research already, I reach out to this community with a simple question. And yes, the quick and snarky replies were accurate, they were completely unnecessary.

I'm trying not to waste your time by asking a long winded question. Anyone with have a brain could see I was seeking links to previous threads.

So in the time it took for people to waste time, they could have made exactly the same effort and helped.

+1

Token, filmmaking is about networking, and really heavy on leadership.
You gotta put this chip on your shoulder sh!t away.

Crowdfunding isn't a magic money spigot.
It's real work.

I know you're going to ignore this and maybe even call me names. I'm
cool with that so here goes:

You're blaming everyone else for not posting exactly what you want
exactly when you want it. If you had asked, “Has anyone here had
personal crowd funding success stories?" you would have gotten
exactly what you wanted when you wanted.

Sometimes asking a specific question get better, more useful answered
than being vague. You've been around for a while – you know that
people are helpful here. You also know people can be sarcastic, that
people can be foolish and that people can have a bit of fun at others
expense. Like any group of people.

I see that you resort to name calling quite easily. Let me have it!
