What music do you listen to?

There's a whole lotta old school on this thread.

My favourite bands would have to be.... Rise Against, cKy, Bayside, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Rammstein, Billy Talent, Reggie and the Full Effect, Finch, Chiodis, Emery, Chronic Future, Mindless Self Indulgence, Jimmy Eat World, Forgive Durden, Lorene Drive, Nightmare of You, Motion City Soundtrack, Modest Mouse, The Matches, Scissor Sisters, The Getaway Plan and Brand New.

And then there's also Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, T-Pain, The Lonely Island, Kate Miller-Heidke, Dido, Eminem, La Roux and so on and so on.

I also LOVE musicals, so that's in there as well.

:D

I'm so happy reading through this that someone else has heard of Steel Panther (introduced to me by our very own Will Vincent, BTW). YAY ZS!

I'm still on a really long Jason Mraz Kick, he's phenomenal live and improvs way better than anyone should... and he does this: http://www.archive.org/details/JasonMraz

Nothing like POOP TONNES OF FREE MUSIC for listening - legally!

Okay, top of my list for sure
Led Zeppelin
The Beatles
Radiohead
Gorillaz

Also up there are:
Jason Mraz
Jack Johnson
Frank Sinatra
The Strokes

Then there are many more that I can't really think of now, I might edit later.

Also, Why has only one person named Led Zeppelin!? That makes me sad.

American Football, Anamanaguchi, Andrew Jackson Jihad, Animal Collective, Architecture in Helsinki, At the Drive-in, Black Lips, Black Moth Super Rainbow, The Blood Brothers, Boards of Canada, Bright Eyes, CAKE, The Clash, Dirty Projectors, Eagles of Death Metal, El Ten Eleven, Elvis Costello, Gang of Four, Islands, Jaguar Love, Joanna Newsom, Lightspeed Champion, Man Man, The Mars Volta, Modest Mouse, Mr. Bungle, Neutral Milk Hotel, Old Crow Medicine Show, Phish, Pink Floyd, The Pixies, Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, Ratatat, Shpongle, Shugo Tokumaru, Team Teamwork, Test Icicles, The Unicorns, TISM, Tokyo Police Club, Ween, Weezer (only the Blue Album and Pinkerton, though, ugh), Why?

Plenty of others, but these are my 'staples'.

I love that your list is alphabetical.

My own preferences lean mainly toward gypsy jazz (Django Reinhardt and Stephen Grappelli are the greats). I've also been on a Debussy kick.

I like a little of everything, 'cept probably country and most r&b.

Just to name a few off the top of my head, in no particular order:

Dave Mathews
Yann Tiersen
Temptations
Libera
Herbie Handcock
Queen
Michael Jackson
The Beatles (of course)
Zeppelin (duh)
Allman Brothers Band

Circa Survive
Deftones
Brand New
Armor For Sleep
Portugal The Man
Ambulance
As Tall As Lions
CA bay area rap (Mac Dre, and alot more)
Alil bit of hardcore, death metal

I must be the only person in the world who doesn't love the beatles :/

Right there with ya Cliche.

Sampling of some random stuff I like, in no particular order, including some relatively common stuff, some obscure stuff, some new, some old, 100% schizophrenic:

Cephalic Carnage (sorta math metal, but kind of unclassifiable)
Franz Liszt
The Devil Makes Three
Napalm Death (for as long as I can remember)
Sage Francis
Hatebreed
Common
Slayer
Thievery Corporation
Faith No More / Mr. Bungle / Secret Chiefs 3
Megadeth
Massive Attack
Testament
Old Crow Medicine Show
Dead Kennedys
Brujeria (Winner of "Most Brutal Mosh Pit of My Life") Which reminds me, RIP: The Pound, SF :(
Tchaikovsky
At The Gates
Ministry
Brother Ali
Patsy Cline
Lamb of God
Ravi Shankar (sp? Tabla drumming basically)
Therapy? (The single best band that no one in the US listens to any more)
Atmosphere
Necrophagist (Math Metal of the highest order)
Skinny Puppy
Johnny Cash
The Dillinger Escape Plan (More math metal, noticing a trend? ;) )
Hendrix
Death (Arguably the reason that death metal is called death metal.)
Zeppelin
Acid Bath (Another one hard to categorize. Swamp-core comes close.)
Pennywise
John Lee Hooker (Without whom no one would know the name George Thorogood)
Behemoth (Polish Extremist Metal)
Tom Waits
Kalmah

I could probably do this for a good couple of hours. In fact, I'm sitting here sipping coffee and thinking of all the great stuff I didn't list:

Apocalyptica
Light This City (Best female metal vocalist I can think of in the Thrash/Death department)
Bad Religion
Anthrax
Mighty Mighty Bosstones
Pink Floyd

Yeah. I like music.
