I'm new to the Indie talk world after just completing my first short (51 min); I found some distribution info on this site that is a huge help. I really like the sense of community here, indie filmmaking is damned hard and it helps to have some resources. I firmly believe in a fair balance of give and take but I'm gonna take like crazy from sonnyboo.com.

major update coming, sneak peek

Here's a sneak peek for INDIETALK before I launch a bit of a marketing campaign to promote these freebies for my film peeps.

I'm revising and updating a lot on the Sonnyboo.com site, especially the downloads for filmmakers. I've already added the 35 royalty free songs, but now I'm adding more free IMAGES like the FBI warning, ratings, color bars, laurel leaves, etc. and many of them are now in HD sizes (1920x1080).



I've added a free video for those who do screenings, a pre-show "TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONES" video that anyone can use for their premiere or show.



Also I added some free fonts that are very handy for title sequences, movie posters, etc.

Plus, the mainstay are all the contracts, paperwork, budgets, agreements, and even storyboard templates.

Great, Sonnyboo! Thanks for sharing! More of us need to do it some way!

Im trying to get more behind the scenes work for my projects so i can show how some aspects of filmmaking are done. But i always end up short on crew anyway and the behind the scenes part gets left behind.

Im going to try and start getting some things out next year.

I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about or referring to.

behind the scenes.... how does this relate to filmmaker downloads?

It's Sonnyboo with on "O" and the resources are at least half all new stuff as I'm getting back to my roots of having a ton of free stuff to help filmmakers on my site.
 
I literally almost downloaded everything you have to offer. A couple file came back with a "page not found" error. The "please turn off cellphones video loaded with a ? over the quicktime icon. Awesome stuff though. this is a filmakers goldmine!

2-3 of the images aren't named proper and I can't re-upload them until tomorrow.


The TURN OFF CELL PHONES video is an MPEG2, so try downloading it (Save As) and play it in Windows Media or some other player.
