Today I was browsing around a few shops and I noticed an 8mm projector for 25 bucks so I picked it up. When I got home I did a quick google search and found the model I bought is going for about 200 dollars on ebay! Just thought I'd share my find.
Raynox DU 707 A...
+1 for the Billy Jean reference hahaha
Looks neat man keep up the good work. Make the effect of the flash running past more realistic and it'll be the bees knees.
How do I go about lighting scenes that involve moving? I've been practicing lighting simple sets but how would I light scenes such as an action fight or a dolly shot?
I'm going to start practising a bit more and I'm want to make a few short action flicks. I need some prop guns to use but I live in Australia so the only way is to make props, not buy them. Any methods I could use or ideal materials EG wood/pipes that you recommend? Or even some simple DIY plans.
Quick question, Alcove. If I buy a Zoom H1 and plug a XLR to 1/8 stereo adapter and run a Rode NTG-2 will I lose any sound quality through the adapter?
Yes quite so that no one professional uses mini DV anymore but I'm just going to buy a DSLR down the line, for now I just want to have some practise with manual settings and just working everything out.
Well I'm not too worried about SD and mini DV but its just that I can find a cheap semi professional mini dv camera for a few hundred.
What about an XL1s?

Alright so my budget is $1400 and I've been reading a lot of threads on this website and I've decided this is what I'm going to purchase to start making short films.
Camera:
I've decided to go with the Canon GL2 because I'm seen some really good footage on various websites and the manual...
