watch Secret Santas Videos!

Just a bump for Gooberman! and the mp3 link here http://www.flickerpictures.com/Secret Santa.mp3

So, is Gooberman the only one left to present then?

Wow, just watching these again, these are all fantastic! So we've had so far:

A trippy, masked Christmas greeting
A self mutilating santa
Someone killing Santa
"Heartfelt" Christmas thoughs
"Worst Christmas Song"
"ZenSteve's Christmas" Movie script
Personal Protection advice at Christmas time
Chthulu's Christmas
A well researched Christmas gift "rap"
A personalized Christmas carol
Person on the street Christmas

Gotta see if I missed any(doing it from top of my head)

As a personal note-I want to thank everyone here(and Nickclapper for his idea)-its a bit of a tough Christmas this year-my better half in on family business in the states and couldn't make it back in time-but these greetings have made it so much easier to get through. I've told her about them and she wants to see them when she gets home (Dready, you have a fan in my better half LOL).

There, mushy stuff out of the way ;)

i love the ending!

Im with goob.. the ending is awesome!

Thanks guys, i had fun filming it!

I'm too drunk to comment more, but I LOVED that!!!

Thankyou so much! And Merry Christmas! :D

That's fine, i was quite inebriated when i posted it. And i fought with the decision of adding subtitles or leaving you guessing a bit about what they said about you in the Spanish and French bits. Glad you liked it!

I half expected Desmond Morris to step out "Who is Dreadylocks?"

Well done "Man/woman on the street" there-and you only had a flip cam and phone cam Well done Ernest! I'm glad Dready liked it too-I figured she'd either love it or want to kill you (maybe both ;))

Well done, my friend, well done!!

I had to look up Morris  But then i laughed

Thanks for the kind words!!

For anyone who doesn't know who Desmond Morris is: he studies Human nature in an "animal" type of environment (Human Animals)-and the way that Ernest carried on, that was up the alley "Who is "Dreadylocks?" :D

(No offense of course to Dready! :))

Sorry I was a little late here. I got a little carried away refilming and re-editing about half of the movie in the last few days. I did get a pretty decent version ready for you guys to see now. It is not perfect but hope you like it.

Unemployable is a Comedy short Film.

The theme is unemployment and comedy from living home while unemployed. Titled "Unemployable". It jokes about interviewing over the phone and saying things that probably would not get you hired. It goes on to have a battle of action in the film in a fun way. Includes unusual methods of cleaning the house. I will leave the rest for your surprise.

It is intended for mature audiences. It has a few cuss words here and there.

Here is the link. Enjoy.

It is for everyone. I joined in late. Enjoy Indietalk. I have been working on this short for a long long time. Like maybe a year or so. I just kinda try to hone my skills with this short. I still have some things I could improve but with the equipment and resources I had I think I am doing pretty good. Next time I would love to do a short with a DP.

I used my Kodak (zD8612IS) 8.1 Megpixels camera to film this. It has no manual controls and eats batteries like crazy. No white balance control eaither. I did my best. I did not really know how to light scenes well at all so I tried to redo a ton of scenes after I learned a better way of doing it by making a cheap softlight. I used a chair with a draped over sheet and put a small halogen light under it to make a cheap soft light. Ha.... Other interesting things to know is that I did not really have a tripod. I used a cymbol stand from a drum set for some of it. I used various items from the house like boxes or table tops and stacked things on top of them to get the camera high enough. I also tied the camera to ceiling fan but later found that it was better to put the camera on top of the fan blade to film shots. In the car scene I tried attaching the camera to the dash using velcro and velcro to the head rest too. Had some stablization issues going down the road with it though. Hopefully I will get a new camera in 2011.

I edited in Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD. I did use Adobe After Effects (trial version) for the waterfall Letter effect in the intro.

FINALLY!!! This is my first project i've done solo and i ran into every problem imaginable! My computer isn't liking After Effects right now so I had to ditch my kick ass time travel video and take a different route. I hope you all enjoy. I had a lot of fun making this video. Merry Christmas UraniumCity!

Lol! Reminds me of the evil monkey in Family Guy!

Great job everyone!

I hope everyone had a swell Christmas. By my approximation that's most of the gifts up. I think we're still waiting on SinEater, although I might just have missed that as I went through. For the more recent ones- Cracker that was sick and some real talent. EW that was very sweet and your Spanish friends seemed remarkably unconfused about the whole situation! :)

Anyhow, presumably one person on here hasn't received a gift yet. Any ideas who?

That was good Gooberman! Hopefully sometime (next year?) we can see what you originally had planned-but well done nonetheless! :D

I can cry about not getting a second present if you want, be all greedy about it!;)

I concur, well done to everyone on these projects- and for taking the time out of your busy holiday scheds to do them! :)

Gotta love evil sock monkeys ;)

Yeah, nice work everyone! This was really fun and thanks again St. Nick for throwing it out there. It's giving me some ideas for an IndieTalk Moviemaking Challenge of sorts. Maybe something where people sign up, a list of genres, themes, props, etc. are bandied about, then we use the NameDraw to get our challenge - like 24-hr. challenge or 48-hr. challenge - but we'd have more time to do it. Wouldn't be specifically for anyone, like the Secret Santa.

Maybe final running times need to be 5 minutes, to keep the scope of the films reasonable and expectations in check. Too long? 3 minutes?

Just a thought!
