favorite New 10 favorite movies

About six/seven months ago (or something like that) there was a thread started asking everyone's favorite movies. Well, mine changed since then. If your top ten movies of all time changed, or you never posted them, post them now! Here is my revised list:

Fistful of Dollars
Star Wars (pretend none of the other Star Wars movies exist)
The Matrix
Dirty Harry
Casablanca
Pulp Fiction
Life is Beautiful
Citizen Kane
It's a wonderful Life
The Life of Brian

Honorable Mention:
Dumb and Dumber. One of the funniest and most well-written comedies I've seen.

Scarface. Just great gritty pure testosterone. Didn't make the list because there's little to make me like Tony.

Braveheart. Got knocked off the list probably because I haven't seen it in a while and looking back on it...it's not as great as the others.

Back to the Future. In a time when movies SUCKED (the 80s) this gem stands out.

The Godfather. Again, haven't seen it in a while and sort of lost my passion for it.

College. I have never desired to see a silent film in my life, but when I saw this it made me laugh the entire time...except for one scene that went on like 5 minutes too long. Definitely watch it if you ever can.

...I haven't seen The French Connection or Easy Riders, but based on what I've heard, they sound like my kind of movies...so much to watch. So little time.

For reference, that original thread was here.

It will be interesting to see what (if anything) has changed.

Back then I said...

1 ) Moulin Rouge.
2 ) The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and Her Lover.
3 ) Star Wars: A New Hope (Should have stopped right there, in '77)
4 ) Babbette's Feast
5 ) Schindler's List
6 ) Ed Wood
7 ) The Manchurian Candidate (original version)
8 ) Twelve Angry Men
9 ) Judgement At Nuremburg.
10 ) The Rocky Horror Picture Show

I'm not really sure how I could update that... but I'll think about it, over the weekend.

All right, i'll have a go at this. In no particular order:

Jaws (i'm gonna cheat and say close encounters/e.t./raiders here too)
Good Bad Ugly
It's A Wonderful Life
O Lucky Man!
Taxi Driver
Manhattan
My Favorite Year
Force of Evil
Network
This is tough... gonna have to say Say Anything, just to include a Cameron Crowe movie.

I find it really hard to make lists of movies, but aaaarrrgghh I'll do it anyways -

1) Taxi Driver
2) Goodfellas
3) The Lion King
4) The Shining
5) Silence Of The Lambs
6) The Godfather (I and II)
7) The Deer Hunter
8) Kramer VS Kramer
9) Star Wars (the old trilogy)
10) Gangs Of New York or A Clockwork Orange... Can't decide.
