Wow, what a horrible video.

Thumbs up for me, too. Yeah, a little repetitious. But I like it. It's groovy. Love the guitarist and his transparent guitar. =)

Seeing as how cats make everything better (teh internetz says so!), maybe you'd prefer this cover?

I don't think its bad because I think of the song as a sort of 80's style and thus the video is 80's style too. Remember that guy with all the girls wearing the same thing in the background playing guitar? It was consider really cool then and now it is laughable.

So this video is like 80's like the beat.

I have to say that I'm kind of in the camp that quite likes the video. It's sparkly and cool and doesn't try and overstretch (like some Daft Punk videos in the past).

And Pharell Williams is 100% more bearable in it than in this:

Now this is a terrible video. Lazy and misogynistic (and that's not even starting on the song's lyrics...) not to mention a little creepy.

I quite liked the original version with nudity. But then again I'm a big fan of the director. I thought it was fun, cheeky and yet again, she came up with a great idea. I'm not crazy about the clothed version, though and funnily enough, neither was she!

It was her idea, incidentally, that there should be gratuitous nudity and I absolutely guarantee you are wrong on one point... She is definitely not a misogynist! Not unless she's had an operation recently.

It's perfectly possible for women to be misogynists, just as misandry is equally possible in men.

I've also read interviews with the director and the models were they refer to it as 'cheeky' and 'empowering'. I think, firstly, that completely ignores the lyrical content of the song they are advertising, and, secondly, that doesn't really stand up to the inevitable masculine perception of the video. Even if they aren't misogynists themselves, they're certainly complicit in the misogyny.

Oh wow, thanks for the heads-up about that one. Hey, that's one of the nicest looking videos I have ever seen. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

But curiously, without making any negative judgment about the nudity, it seems like the one with clothes is actually funner (more fun) .

Still, I'm glad for the existence of the "wrong" one. =D
