Hey Chris, will you be doing a great deal of very intricate action sequences that can't be easily explained without going to all the time and trouble of storyboarding?
If not, just do a shot-list. Add whatever info you want. Here's a quick example.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SCENE 1 - Bob drives out to check out old house - later afternoon
-Master shot of creepy old house.
-Medium of car pulling up to camera, stopping.
-CU of Bob peering out car window towards house.
-CU glove box - Bob's hand opens it, grabs a flashlight. Then a gun.
-CU Bob's reaction before preceding. He's scared.
-MCU hand-held from inside house, POV looking out 2nd floor window as Bob gets out of car, walks up to house.
props needed:
-Bob's car.
-creepy old house.
Gear needed:
-shoulder rig
-canon 5d and backup
-tripod
-etc .....

You get the idea. Set it up however you want. It's small, easy to edit. Easy to send to crew so they can have a copy.
