I don't know much about the Zacuto gear, in general I find it incredibly over-priced for average machinery. In general though, I can't imagine there being too much of an issue, though it's probably something I'd suggest looking into before making a definitive purchase either way..
I used a Sony FS700 a couple of years ago on a rig designed for a 5D, so you can certainly use other, bigger cameras on DSLR rigs, it just depends on how your rig specifically is set up.
