refurbished. what should i do to make sure everything is working 100% with no bugs? i don't have a good knowledge of DSLR.

use it.. and see if its not filming correct, or if it does weird stuff that doesn't seem right

If its actually 'refurbished' by Canon then all parts should be working to an acceptable manner, but the best way is to just get out there and use it!

Was it factory-refurbished, and come with a warranty of some kind?

check for hot pixels, mines just bloody developed one, but theres a trick to get rid of it

i dont think it's factory refurbished, it's directly from canon website with 14 day return and 90 day warranty.
yes i heard canon's refurbished products were great.

ill try out those suggestion when it comes.

If its from the Canon website then you could probably assume it is factory refurbished

remove all lenses, put the cap on, turn to M mode, have the camera facing down, go into menu, select clean, then manual clean and leave it for 1 minute, also some hot pixels are affected by high iso numbers so below 400 is your safest bet.
