Skate film question

I want to make sure i can capture the hole skater. Is a wide angle lenses what I need?

you can see the circle, that's a lenses right? lol. Is there any lenses that you dont see the circle with?

Aah, the fish eye lens. What skate video would be complete without one?

(I think that's what they're called anyway, I don't know anything about cameras, I just know about skate videos)

Indeed, it's an extremely wide angle lens (fish eye). And zoomed out far enough that you get the whole "burned" edges in the shot.

A burned edge occurs when you stack up filters into the path of the "angle of acceptance" of the lens... or in this case, then the lens itself has such a wide "angle of acceptance" that it catches a view of itself.
