Hello all,
This is my first post here on indietalk....so hello everyone!
I'm currently ordering a Panasonic DVX 100b and Final Cut Studio 2 to start my little film production business. I don't know a heck of a lot about Final Cut Studio (or about the DVX100b) yet, as my experience with both has been very limited. Hooray for a month off of work to get aquainted with both!
My question is this and it may be pretty elementary:
I am planning on recording sound through the mic jack on the DVX100b with my shotgun mic while I shoot. After I upload it onto my computer and into Final Cut Studio 2, am I able to separate the video from the audio? Like, can I use the audio from one scene and cut it over the top of the video footage from a different scene?
Or....do I have to get a separate device to record audio onto if I'm wanting it to be separate?
Thanks to all for any advice/help!
