Look up on 'Public Liability insurance', needed in any case if you are set to shoot, public liability will allow you access to both shoot in the street without running the risk of paying heavily if you happened to damage either public property or cause injury to the general public. The regular coverage is for around 2,000,000, don't be scared off by the sum, it is precautionary as costs of damages and injury claims are shamelessly escalated, which again is why insurance is so necessary. Yet, be sure even when covered with PLI, that you are granted access to shoot in the places you want to shoot, PLI is just insurance, not a free pass.
Most standard insurance companies will grant you cover - PLI, equipment cover, employee insurance etc, just for the week or so you are planning to shoot. (This will save you a packet if you're just starting out) Or, if you have many projects planned across the year, you can take it out on a yearly basis paid monthly.
Good luck man!
