Our Universe Just Got Older

That's so cool. Now, write a story in which an alien civilization was spawned by that galaxy.

Or maybe that's where Luke, Han, and the rest of the gang lived.

That is mind boggling....

It's just how long the light took to reach us. Even more interesting is that we can each only observe a finite distance in any direction due to that same timeframe. The universe is about 14 bil years old, and so we can only see as far as what light can reach us in that time, making each and every one of us (the observer) at the precise center of our own universe.

So next time anyone says "the world doesnt revolve around you", you can reply with "no, the entire universe does!".
