New Filmmaker Question: Which Sound Gear for Indie Film

Hello
I am new to the indie scene. I am doing well so far but my knowledge of sound is lacking. But having to wear many hats now, i thought id ask for advice.

What sound gear is good maybe a "kit"

I think
Sennheiser ME66 - Super Cardioid Shotgun Condenser Mic Kit
BoomMate BPH Microphone Boom Pole Holder
Beyerdynamic MZA716 4 Section Fiberglass Boompole 3 - 10.5 ft

is a good start but what more would i need?

Thank you all

Indieman

Don't bother with the ME66... their low end bass tolerance is awful... Instead - pick up yourself some CK98's... much better allround.

If you're not just shooting onto DV, you also need a recording device (16mm sync sound etc). Get a portable DAT recorder and record at 44/48hz 16bit. Or if you can afford it a portable flash recorder! mmmm nice. OR! A laptop with a good external sound card and record onto hard-disc.

Unless you want to go really old school and get yourself a NAGRA which is an old magnetic tape recording device but still really nice quality.
