Okay, sorry I haven't commented as of yet ... I was in Amarillo for the weekend visiting my sister-in-law and her man, my future brother-in-law (first time I've gotten a chance to meet him). Anyway, it's a nice surprise to come back and find so many nice things said about this little piece of dink. If you haven't been a visitor to the whole ITOC forum before hand, you might not know that this was written and shot in a little over 24 hours. I'm very proud of it, even with it's little "problems" (really, you people don't find all that crappy tree action funny!?).
I like the fact that so many are actually "getting" our humor. I was afraid it would leave everyone scratching their heads (not as afraid as Goat was, but he's a big wuss anyway). This is our first project in forever (when God was handing out drive, we thought he said jive, and we didn't none o' dat!), and it's a hard thing, showing everyone what an idiot you can be.
As I've told Zen, we were going for a little bit of a Python feel to Bill (A side note: I serenaded my wife with Monty Python songs during the entire drive of the trip that I proposed to her on, yet she still said "yes". Wonders will never cease.), and I think Goat was going for a bit of a David Cross feel to Bob, but don't hold me to that (I never really know what is going on in that dude's head). And I see that at least one person got the Critter's ref, so there is at least one other person that stores useless knowledge like we do.
I wish that I had planned the PS as a nod to Neal, that would make me look like one hell of a guy. But as Goat has already mentioned, it is a bit of a happy accident. But all the same, that guy changed the way people looked at movies, and if this little project can be thought of as some sort of homage, then I'm all for that.
Thanks for all the comments. Zen you do have the early lead, but you will go down my friend!
