Kodachrome 40 will be not produced anymore and stocks only processed by Kodak at Lousanne until beginning of 2006.

A new Ektachrome 64T with 64ASA is available now!

Does this film work in all super 8 cameras?

All super 8 film works with super 8 cameras.

But not all Super 8mm cameras will expose it properly using the built-in meter. Check out this webpage:

If you have a handheld meter and manual exposure control you shouldn't have any problems.

That link says that not all cameras will recognize the film cartridge and set the correct ASA for the film. It lists many workable solutions, and no serious shooter should be using autoexposure anyway. If you've got the world's cheapest, full-auto super8 camera, you could probably use the neutral density filter trick, or have the film pull-processed to ASA 40.

In any case, Rik was right; there is no reason why any super8 camera can't be configured to use the new film.

Right after I posted that I realized that it wasn't as clear as I usually
like to be. Thanks for posting that link, Herb. Some of the automatic
aspects of super 8 cameras can cause problems with the exposure
so it's good to know how to override the camera.
