How to bind script correctly for European production houses

I know that if you want to send script to American production houses, it must printed on letter sized paper and it should have three holes and only two brass-plated fasteners. In europe, the screenplay must be printed on A4 paper, but should I punch 2, 3 or 4 holes and where should I place the fasteners?

Something I've never known is why does the script have to be printed on a certain type of paper stock. Why can't it be printed on normal, everyday, run of the mill printing paper?

A script can be printed on normal, everyday, run of the mill printing
paper. Where did you get the impression a certain type of stock is
required?
