Hi from the Holy land :)

Hey! I'm Liri, (almost) 23, originally from Israel (I've been traveling and planning to relocate to LA, hopefully).
I started as an actress in my teenage years, but soon enough my passion for filmmaking grew bigger, and I decided I should do more in addition to acting. I began writing scripts a few years ago, and lately I've got a DSLR camera and discovered my love for stills and cinematography.

Right now I started working on an experimental web-series (first ep is online!). My friend edits and scores it, and I write, play, direct and film it (so, SO exhausting, almost impossible).
I wanted to ask, is there a 'collaborations' thread here?

I'm looking for new friends I can learn from and talk about filmmaking, and of course, when I can be of any help - just let me know and I will do my best.

I think that would be all for now :) Nice to meet you all!
Liri

Welcome Grasshopper!

I'm one of the audio guys here.

Keep in mind that the search function is your friend. Everyone here is always very glad to help you out, but a lot of the "basics" questions have been asked and answered many times.

And always remember:

"Old man, how is it that you hear these things?"

"Young man, how is it that you do not?"

'sup :)

There's no "collaborations thread", as such but there's plenty of it going on. I've done several, many forum members have done them, and you won't be the last to do so.

Welcome to IndieTalk, btw.

Hi Liri!
My work sometimes sends me to Israel. And have grown to really enjoy my visits. Iv made some great friends and hope to add you to the list! :)

My favorite place to hang out and talk music and movies is at the record store in Carmel Center, the guys there are always turning me on to some new Israeli bands. To date my favorite Israeli group is Aljir.

Wait, Im never this nice to new people, I better stop now.. welcome

GRASSHOPPER:"Old man, how is it that you hear these things?"

BLIND MAN:"Young man, how is it that you do not?"

SCOOPICMAN: "I thought this was set in the 1800s. I'm not blind and I can hear a truck in the background, at the 28 second mark!" :D:

It's a seriously great clip. I'm just having some fun! Pardon my hyperness. It reminds me of one of my shoots, where the characters were on an alien planet, but there was quite a bit of traffic noise in the background. ::bang:

A lot of new posters forget to "subscribe" to threads. Heck, I still forget.

That, or we.................okay,... I.... did scare Liri away.

:director::director: Where are you, Liri? :director::director:
