Why messages or why do I need to know what they are?
I figured messages would be good because I'd get notified via e-mail, but I suppose that doesn't matter.
It's for a, scavenger hunt of sorts.
(Asking for help isn't against the rules!)
There's only a couple I vaguely even recognize something from, so I could use some help.

And asking "Why?" isn't against the rules. People are curious. That's
why people ask questions like "Why?" Perhaps zen was (like me)
curious why you were asking to ID these films.

Will you be upset if I ask abut this scavenger hunt? If it will I won't
ask.

Everyone here gets their panties in a wad real easily I've noticed.

Who cares if some guy wants to know what certain movies these stills are from?

Is it gonna ruin your day?

Cheer up, folks. :)

#1 struck me as a Jia Zhangke film but I couldn't recognize which one until I concluded that it is his latest film A Touch Of Sin

I definitely knew that #5 was In The Mood For Love because the lovely Maggie Cheung is there with her beautiful dress. It's not one of the most recognizable or famous images of the movie though.

Do we get a prize?

1. A Touch Of Sin
2. City Of God
3. Dogtooth
4. El Mariach
5. In The Mood For Love
6. Slumdog Millionare
7. Searching For Sugar Man
8. Neighboring Sounds
9. The Piano Teacher
10. ?
11. The castle
12. the celebration
13. The Motorcycle Diaries
14. The Triplets of Belleville
15. ? (looks like young joseph gordon levitt)

When I said it's not against the rules, I meant for the scavenger hunt.
It's a contest on a avatar forum.
It's called Guess That Love Scene.
They had been posting groups of 15 stills from different movies...
with one hint.
The first ones were things like "UK," "Disney", "Musicals," "Ghibli" "Dreamworks" etc.
I don't have my manties in a bunch, sorry if my wording sounded defensive lol.

Thank you Mina, photon.

Just #10 and #15 left to figure out then. ^.^

I care. Knowing why is interesting to me. No, it's not going to ruin my
day, in fact knowing it is for a scavenger hunt is kinda cool. Makes me
want to help all the more.

I am curious why you think expressing curiosity is “getting their panties
in a wad easily”? Why look at the question “Why?” as a negative?
