Have any of you been to Vancouver Film School?

I was thinking of going, but was wondering if it's worth it. I know film school diploma's do not get you into the business, but I am not going for the diploma. I was thinking of going for the experience and exposure. A lot of film students say it's worth it, if you read reviews, because they learn, which is the most important, and because they gain contacts to make movies with, and meet the right connections.

But a handful of other reviews say it was a waist of money and that it's too much. I was thinking of taking the course in acting and the course in sound design. The acting one is 50,000, and I would have to mortgage my house to go. The rest of my money I plan on using for movie making so I would have to live from paycheck to paycheck for the rest of my life possibly, or not have a place I own again until I am 60 maybe, so I really have to carefully way if it's worth it or not. Acting is my biggest passion and was the original reason I got into filmmaking in the first place.

I talked to another filmmaker who is going that I have worked with before, and she said that it's totally worth it for the marketing. The film school teaches you to market yourself and it's all about the right connections, which is good since that's probably the most important aspect of wanting to be successful in filmmaking I am guessing. The school here for example, doesn't even seem to teach much in the marketing from what I have heard of it's students.

So I am wondering if any of you have been there, or if any of you consider it to be worth going. What do you think?
