Film university

I'm going to university, in the UK next year (I'm from portugal) for undergraduation, and I would like to know what universities you guys think are the best.
I'm choosing between this ones, if you guys could advise me which one is the best, or any other one, it would be great :)

Here it goes:
Leeds Met – BA (hons) filmmaking
Manchester Met - BA (hons) filmmaking
Kingston University – BA (hons) filmmaking
Manchester School of Art - BA (hons) filmmaking
Kings College London – BA (hons) film studies
The University of Winchester – BA (hons) film production
Bournemouth Film School - BA (hons) film production and cinematography
Arts University Bournemouth - BA (hons) film production
UWE Bristol - BA (hons) filmmaking & creative media
West of Scotland - BA (hons) filmmaking & screen writing
Brighton Film School - Filmmaking HNC/HND (must do 3rdyear for BA)
University of Creative Arts Farnham – BA (hons) film production
Ravensbourne – BA (hons) digital film production

Thanks for your attention :)

From this list - Kings.

The only one I don't know about is Manchester School of Art but of the list you've provided, Kings has the strongest 'name' in the UK by a huge margin. None of the others would be in the same league.

I agree with GOAB, KCL is definitely the 'big' name of that group.

That said, it's definitely worth doing some investigation into the film programs at each of these universities. On paper, none of them are particularly strong academically, but that doesn't mean they don't have a good UG film course – Ravensbourne, for example, specialises in media courses (and doesn't do, say, Law, or Medicine), so, perhaps, their UG film course is held in higher esteem. It may well be that whilst KCL is a 'better' university by ranking, their film course may have no reputation in the film industry.

That all said (!), the UK doesn't have a great undergraduate film scene – none of the Top 25 or so schools offer the course – but the NFTS is a good school for post-graduate film study. Not making a point per se, but something to consider.

(PS: Kingston is also a decent enough university.)

I did Film Production and Technology at Birmingham City. It was a good course and, unlike these, it's a BSc rather than a BA as you do science technology. But if you're focused on just production techniques, then you're probably more suited to one of the BA courses

I am not familiar with UK universities/film schools. But what are your aims in going to uni?

I am doing a film and english degree at a university which doesn't have a huge focus on practical film work. But I think it's fantastic, and it has made me think in a way that a practical degree never would've. But I've always been a big advocate for academic education.
