Just wondering if there is a forum to post in if you are looking for people in your area to collaborate with or if you are trying to crew up?
 
Thanks. There are quite a few talented people here in the Bay Area. It's just kind of difficult to meet the right ones.

I was half hoping for a "Regional-Lounge" where people in certain regions post projects and things they are working on.

Great advice. That doesn't mean you shouldn't use craigslist, but personal contacts and references have been way more fruitful for me than anything else. It takes time, and persistence. Network as much as you can. Work on other people's projects. Search local colleges. Do craigslist. And like Zensteve said, just ask people you already know. Over time, that network of people you can trust will grow.
