Composer looking to network

Hello all,

My name is T.R. Hill. I've been writing music for quite some time now. At some point along the way, I realized that my instrumental music is suited for film and television projects. So, I'm hoping to network with filmmakers here and learn the process as it relates to music for film. I'm looking forward to learning from, and hopefully adding to the discussions here.

Thanks,
T.R.

Soundcloud, got it. Thanks for the tip. I'll put some of my stuff up there and let everyone know. By the way, is there a proper forum to post a link to that?

Thanks again!

Welcome aboard! Always good to have more music folks around!
If you want to link to your stuff, make yourself a "services available" as appropriate here:
http://www.indietalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=46
Also be sure to include links to your work in your profile, so people can easily find it if needed!

And of course, hang around! Participate in conversations! Opportunites to learn and build your portfolio will occasionally crop up: (http://www.indietalk.com/showthread.php?t=41713 for example).

Best of luck! And if you have questions about scoring as you learn, feel free to ask. Lots of people around here (myself included) do it and are learning. Best advice I've ever been given as a musician: you can learn something from EVERYONE, regardless of relative skill or experience. You just have to be open to it!
