Cinema Latino: Independent Films Exploring Creativity & Culture

For the second consecutive year, The Newark Museum will showcase Latino creativity and talent by screening six independent films in the Museum's Billy Johnson Auditorium. The series is designed to appeal to young people, professionals and individuals who appreciate fine cinematic film making. Each of the six films provide insights into the experiences and customs of a variety of Latino cultures that are sure to be of interest to the ever growing New York/New Jersey Latino community, as well as to mainstream audiences. Additional highlights include commentary by cinematic artists, writers, actors, community leaders and industry representatives at post-screening sessions.
