The music video is a promotional piece (and official music video) for the film "Chillerama", a rather hilarious movie that is quite tasteless... and judging by the amount of bodily fluids involved, maybe a bit salty as well. :hmm:

The music video includes snippets from the actual Chillerama film itself, and centers around a Halloween-themed appearance by rock band Psycho Charger while young trick-or-treaters make the neighborhood rounds.

I pulled double-duty as both Gaffer and 2nd-cam. Canon DSLR.

At any rate, the video is a combination of clips from the movie, original track written for the music video, and what we shot to tie it together.

The market for the actual Chillerama film is the usual for comedy/horror. It's an anthology of four short films.

The music video we shot was originally slated to be released a week before Chillerama itself, but it was delayed until now as there are multiple soundtracks for the film about to come out. (I think one might already be out. The Teenage Werebear soundtrack comes out on Valentine's Day)

The producers are trying to monetise the project in as many ways as they can. The Werebear one is currently being prepped for a stage musical locally!
 
I can't explain this, but I've been compelled to go back and watch that several times. It's so campy that I kind of am drawn to it. I may even convince myself I need to buy and see the feature film...not sure what my wife would think if she walked in on me watching giant sperm drowning people. She might think I'd gotten into some odd kind of porn or something :lol:

I jumped on this movie, after seeing the Fangoria coverage. "The Diary of Anne Frankenstein" was my favorite segment. The scene where the monster throws a white soldier - and then cuts to a black stuntman falling through a table..."motherfu..." - then cuts back to the white soldier was hilarious.

I thought the first giant sperm effects (in the bathroom) were fantastic, but then it followed with bad greenscreen spill, Eric Roberts and marginal CGI. That segment could have been classic, but was still pretty funny.

I need to make an alt edit, for my slowly evolving reel, that just uses the footage I shot.
