Canon 550d wide angle?

Hey hey, i have been looking for a wide angle lens for my 550d, all i can find are cheap jap lenses tagged as 'for canon 500 550d 7d etc'.

Not really sure where i'm going wrong, i'm sure it's some rookie mistake like i need to buy an adapter so i can use any slr lens.

Any help would be great! Sorry for the slurred drunken grammar.

Haha, I'll try my best to avoid it too…

Any Canon EF or EF-S mount lens will work fine with your camera. The Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 seems very popular for crop sensor DSLRs, though I don't think it's a particularly cheap one.

wide angle lenses shouldnt be hard to find.

type in canon lenses in google and check it out.

the tokina, chilipie mentioned is indeed popular for crop sensor users. and i think its around 900 dollars.

I recommend getting an EF to FD adapter and pick up some manual lenses. You can get them for significantly cheaper. Usually you can find a 20mm for around 150 US.
