in my webseries i have a scene where i talk about autozone and use they tagline. could i get some product placement money from them even though im a relative unknown entity? im not saying that they should give me money but like if i talk to someone in the autozone corporate offices?

I'm not sure what you are asking.
You say you aren't saying they should give you money,
but you also ask if you can get some product placement
money. It's a little confusing. Of course you can talk to
someone in the Autozone corporate office. You can ask
them to give you some product placement money.
Another thing you are unclear on is if you have already
finished the scene and posted it on line, or if you are
going to do the scene if Autozone gives you product
placement money.
So make sure when you contact the company that you
are very clear what your goals are, what you want and
how your scene will benefit the company.

Here’s how product placement works:
A company will use their product in a movie as a form of
advertising. They will pay based on how many people will see the
product and how the product is used. This, of course, makes
product placement in a indie film or web series difficult. It’s
hard to know how many people will see the episode.
Coke or Pepsi wants James Bond to pick up a can, take a drink,
utter a satisfying sigh and then use the can to disarm the bad
guy. It's not to their advantage to pay a filmmaker money to have
their product in a movie that will be seen on YouTube or entered
in festivals that might be seen by 1,000 people.
So if your web series is getting lots of views (above 10,000) and
you talking about Autozone will show their company is a good light
and encourage people to try them, they might be willing to pay for
product placement. If the scene is already finished and already on
the web then they have no incentive at all to offer you any money.
You are already mentioning them for free.
You don’t ask for a specific amount. You pitch them your
webseries, show how many views per day you are getting, offer
reasons why having the name of their company mentioned will
benefit them and ask them if they are interested in offering you
money to include the name in your series.

You need to show them that your web series will be getting
tens of thousands of views and will be an excellent advertising
method for their company.
