There's an app for it if you have an iPhone, pretty handy.

A director's viewfinder can simulate different focal lenghths of lenses and what field of view they will give you on your camera. The real ones have marks on the barrel, you just extend or compress it. The apps use your phone's camera and puts boxes around the image to show you what each lens will see.

No I don't think so. You can take screen shots with your phone by pressing the main button and the power button simultaneously though if you wanted some reference photos.
