watch 30 second trailer for my newest project

To better understand this project, I would like to know what films you watch. So, what sorts of films do you watch?

    Hello. I am Michael Hopkins.

Ypsilanti - That can't be a real place.

Canon 7D or Canon 5D Mark iii?

First camera? Get a t2i/t3i. Learn how to use a camera. Second, get a 5D MKIV (which will surely be available by the time you need to get a new camera). IMO, you'll be wasting your money on anything above entry level. "But 5D footage looks so much better than t2i footage" Not true. Put...

watch THE LAST DAY ...PLEASE COMMENT

Loved it visually, but I didn't believe that the man wouldn't be able to catch the little girl in the forest. You have to tell the truth, and that man would have easily caught her.

    Genius.

LA's feature film production is up.

Question and a comment. Q: What advantage is there to keep filmming in LA? Our production companies are still here. The people who make the money are still here, spending it here. For the most part, if you want to work in film, you have to live here. C: The golden age of cinema has ended. We...

watch Thoughts on my 2 short films please

Yeah, get some people to help you for sure. That's the only criticism I can offer.

    Actor with Gigantism

Purchase the blurays for the Hobbit and LoTR. They are packed with behind the scene's footage. Perhaps you could pick up some tips there.

    watch 1/8: Atonement

The title is pretty abstract. It would make sense if you knew the whole story, but being a 1 min short, there isn't time for that. It was uninformative by design.

    Storyboarding software

I'm pretty sure the $70 is just for collaboration. If you want a standalone it's only 15.

    Storyboarding software

I would use Celtx. It's indie software and I like supporting small time developers. It comes with screenwriting as well as storyboarding tools. It works on Mac and PC, and the pro version is 15 bucks.

    watch New Mini-Series

I didn't see the first short. A lot of these shots could have been cut down by another second or so. It feels like you were trying to stretch the short out to hit your six minute mark. Also, I didn't watch it in HD, or maximised, but it looked like you had a darkish blue tint on the half of the...

    Little birdy goes tweet tweet.

Like it or not, social networking is extremely important, and I'm trying to as active in the film community as possible. So is anyone here on twitter? (I know a post exists about twitter already, but it is entirely too old and too long) By "on twitter" I don't mean, posts once a month about...

    watch 1/8: Atonement

Agreed. Starting small and getting more complex as I progress. Thanks for the kind words.

    watch 1/8: Atonement

Being away from my own projects for several years, this is my first effort at getting myself up to speed. I've decided to film one short film each month, with each short being longer than the last. 1min, 2min, 4min, 8min, 8min, 16min, 16min, and 32min. 8 total. I haven't done anything vfx...
