    Help with budget lighting

Rayw, gotta say, I love the "lighting diagram" above. That's sharp.

    Indecisive about my ideas... HELP!!!

Do A, hope it brings in a bit of money for the making of b? I agree, your B project sounds a lot more demanding and risky.

    The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

I agree with the above poster. Later in the series it starts getting deeper, and they play with the time travel element a bit more in some interesting ways. Frankly, I think if it had been allowed one more season, it wold have run for quite some time.

    Wanting to become a screenwriter/director

I won't get quite as philosophical as the previous poster, and I'll just say, Hello and welcome!

Summer Glau may be in Star Wars 7

Actually, she spent a substantial time trying to kill him... I suppose when he refused to die he WAS the stud she was looking for.

Final POSTER for my short! (opinions please)/ Posters for cheap offer...

It's kind of old school, but I mean that in a good way. I rather like that. I'd totally put that on a wall, if I had a wall not dominated by my wife's artwork (Guess who gets to do MY posters, if and when I need them... Heh.) Reminds me of late 60's, early 70's posters I've seen, but like I...

Summer Glau may be in Star Wars 7

Mara's about the same age as Luke (Maybe a year or two younger), who starts the movie about 18 or so, I think. At the end of Jedi, 4 years have passed. So he'd be about 22ish? Both Mark Hammil and Cary Fischer said, on twitter admittedly, they'd be interested in coming back. Nothing official's...

How do I get cast and crew to go a little crazy with me?

I'll be honest, now a days I would really suggest against doing anything in public that might look like violence, in particular. People are really over clocked as far as it's concerned, and before you know it you could end up with a riot on your hand as people run from some variation of...

Summer Glau may be in Star Wars 7

Going from expanded Universe, she'd really be a better choice for Jiana Solo (I think that's her name). Of course, that's assuming they do anything from the expanded universe.

    Helloooo!

Fortune favors the bold. I'm actually in very nearly the same boat as you... Welcome!

    Need Screenwriting Advice Please

I'd suggest any of the non-fiction books on hollywood by William Goldman. "Adventures in the Screen trade", "What Lie Did I Tell", and/or any compilation of his screenplays. Goldman is an easy read (I think), honest, and in his screenplay compilations you get the great movies (Example: Butch...

Need help making my first indie film:

Kickstarter and Indiegogo are more like a community tossing money into a hat then investing. Right now it's actually not legal to crowdfund for equity (Meaning actual investing, though that is likely to change fairly soon.). What people are doing when they pay on Kickstarter or Indiegogo...

    HELLO!

See.... Now I need to find out where the damn Unicorns are hanging out. I've got a bet that needs settled. Welcome aboard!

Best place to get prop knives?

Ohh...that's actually a really good idea. Still wouldn't use it for close ups, but it'd be fairly easy. Oh, fair warning... if you DO break off a knife, keep in mind that some steel (Stainless being a really good example) doesn't just snap, but can outright shatter. You might actually look...

    dusty room

Sure, clean up would be a bear, but if it works, and it's cheap... why not. Though the fog machine through a fan might work too...but I'm not sure it wouldn't defuse to much for a little cheap fogger. Or have you done it?
