Shoot on Mini-DV and make it in Vegas. The easiest way to make videos is with Movie Maker 2.1, but Vegas has a lot of power; Pinnacle is a little bit too problematic.

WOW That is awesome! I'd say that the biggest downside is that few consumers know of this method right now, and most won't have "video iPods" (unless regular 30GB and 60 GB ipods are compatible).
