  • Well that's the beauty of the ending I think. It's left completely open to interpretation by people like us. Either one of us could be right. Which is what I love about it.
    Really? You thought the ending was weak? I was completely moved by the ending. He goes back home and while talking to his son he realizes the only thing he still loves is his son. And after he tells his wife about the bombing where the man handing out candy gathered people around then blew himself up he realized that they needed him back over there. That's where he was needed, and that's where he was happy. At least that was my interpretation.
