Writing a Screenplay about a historical character...

Hey guys, I'm seeking some advice on the logistics of writing a screenplay based around a character in history. The concept I have revolves around a man from the second world war. He died during the 1940's and I believe he still has immediate family living today. In writing a screenplay...

How do I find out where movies are being filmed to watch and learn?

I'm fortunate that my University campus doubles as a film set. The King's Speech, Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, The Dark Knight Rises etc. We get some really cool films. Although I don't manage to "get on set" per se, it's truly an inspiration to see some of the world's biggest...

Memory card for Canon Rebel T3i?

Just got the new camera and it turns out the video feature only lasts around 12 seconds before cutting out. It turns out that the memory card I have is incompatible with shooting longer videos. Anybody know which memory cards can support the video feature with this cam? Thanks.

Is there really a significant difference between the Canon Rebel T2i and T3I???

Newbie here looking to make short films and FINALLY buy a camera. I have very little idea about cameras, but I was wondering if the price hike was worth stretching to buy the t3i rather than t2i? Will it make a significant difference? Thanks.

Alright guys...New to Film making and would greatly appreciate your help and advice

Ha where do I start? First off I appreciate all the comments. I cant really quote each and every one of them but I do truly appreciate all the input and I've noted it down. The MV750i is really terrible. It's just a bad and outdated cam. I understand the point regarding learning to use the...

Alright guys...New to Film making and would greatly appreciate your help and advice

Thanks for the welcome. And I dont mind using this camera getting to grips with filming. It's just very limiting in the sense that I cant really work with actors and such when my equipment is so poor. And you're right, London does have great opportunities. I dont study a film related course...
