What's your biggest film making achievement/success?

The helicopter shot I got two weeks ago hovering above a beautiful Utah canyon with 8 outlaw riders dressed in their get-up flaring guns as they rode full speed. It's an epic feeling.

    Orchestra quality software?

Thanks guys! I appreciate your input. Mitchell, could you post some links to some of your software? I'm grateful for this forum and the filmmaking community that we have here. Gonzo, I definitely agree with what you said. If I had the time, I would patiently find everyone that was needed...

    Orchestra quality software?

Hey guys! I am sure you've all been presented with the question as to what to do about not having an orchestra at your disposal, but I cannot find a thread that addresses my own peculiar film score situation. Call me naively ambitious (and justly so), but I ventured out to do an 1880's Western...

New Stock Motion Graphics & Video Website - FREE HD CONTENT

This looks great! I'm sure, over time, you will have a top site. Alot of the footage you have already is very good. Some of your motion graphics and VFX are very nice too. One suggestion I would have is to try to get some historical stuff for variety. I have not come across a stock site...

    newbies and features

I'm very impressed with it, as well. I'm proud of you for ignoring this nay-sayer and I hope your film kicks him in the juevos. Hard work, ingenuity, perseverance, and constant vision seem to be what has supplied you so far, and I encourage you to keep going. Great job on keeping costs...

watch Fight Scene from 2010 Feature Length Film

Great job, overall, but I would agree with Georgia, it lacks the emotional depth that a fight scene needs. A little more variety on sound effects could help, and also a couple close ups of fighters regrouping after getting punched would help bring out the emotion--helping your audience to feel...

    Firing the director

Indeed! Just curious, but what keeps you from directing the feature yourself? If you are noticing things in the script that the director is missing, it is obvious you have vision for the story. You also show a great deal of passion when pointing out the mishaps of the director you have. Low...

    The Soundtrack is out!

That sounds really great. I really feel it. When is your short going to be finished? Is Fredrik Lindahl a professional?

favorite What is your favorite genre? Why?

Rayw, your knowledge and comprehension not only inspires me, but motivates me to aspire to greater things in my pursuit of a good filmmaking career. Thanks for your reply. It was very educational. I also wanted to ask everyone what they think about the Faith/Spirituality genre and whether...

favorite What is your favorite genre? Why?

In reading recent threads, I've noticed alot of our filmmakers are making horror films, or seem to enjoy them. What is it that you like about the horror genre? What is your favorite genre and why does it appeal to you? I'm trying to get a general census on what genre catches the eye of...

    HAIL, Independent filmmakers!

Zensteve, Believe it or not, my first feature was an 18th century setting with a cast of over 40 characters. They were all willing to act for free but none of us had any experience in the department. I finished the project (with many mistakes) on a $1,600 budget. It was 160 minutes in...
