Which camera to get?

Hi my name is Jordan Belfo... oh wait.

I just got financed for over 3000$ dollars to start up my production company. Obviously I am way too excited to be able to write , so excuse my grammar mistakes.

I have dollies,sliders and I can get some jibs and other cool stuff for free.

I am currently using the T2i but I was thinking of getting the BMPCC with speedbooster adapter and 18-35mm sigma 1.8 lens.

I am thinking of shooting music videos,commercials etc.etc + my regular short films .

I love love love love color grading and I believe I can pull of some absolutely lovely images from the camera.


Do you think it is a good idea to go with it?

Well, since you love love love color grading and it can shoot raw, certainly wouldn't be an awful choice. The speedbooster will make it behave like it has a super 35mm sensor, and make that sigma lens effectively an insanely fast .8... So, there are worse choices you could make.

That said, do you need the camera? The t2i is perfectly capable. With the BMPCC you'll need several extra batteries and fast & large SD cards at a minimum.
