I didn’t make it very far in. I’m sure it’s something that model enthusiasts will watch all the way through, but 8 minutes of a single, locked-down shot got very boring very quickly.
IT’s suggestion is great. What I’ll add to that is to get your camera out of auto-exposure and auto-white balance. When you opened the top of the packaged model kit, the auto-exposure kicked in and reduced exposure, making the contents of the box just a big section hidden in underexposed shadow. As the pieces were laid out in your stop-motion, the color kept shifting a little as each piece was added. Manually exposing and white balancing your camera will avoid these issues.
