I'm thinking some kind of thermos-y vacuum insulation, that utilizes 'efiing magic' (insert clever sounding pseudo sciencey bs here). I'm gonna go with something like a 'zero-flux capacihiggs transboseyfier'.
I hear that the earlier models are prone to micro interference from mobile phones, which can affect the performance of the unit. Tests have also shown unpredictable and violent tendencies towards human space explorers, and these traits have been known to escalate when in close proximity to ancient alien civilisations.
They're still working on the fttb prototype...
