Cinestyle Like Photography?

Hey guys,

So I have gotten into photography on the side of my film career, and I was looking online, and it is kind of hard to spot the correct settings for photography when it comes to contrast, sharpness etc.

Now I use Cinestyle for film work, and do a lot of coloring in post, but what settings are the best for photography?

Thanks guys,
Mike

Well, RAW is the best... The reason people shoot cinestyle is for more control for color correcting in post. RAW gives you even more control, and when shooting RAW the profile doesn't really matter.

If you have to shoot JPG, which there are several times you do, I usually use a neutral-ish setting. All depends on the project though.

Oh I shoot RAW I was just wondering on the profiles. I mean in the world of photoshop would a desaturated picture be better like it is in film? Also would sharpness be better if put the its max, etc.
