I can compose in a range of different styles from orchestral music all the way across the sonic spectrum to contemporary electronic music, to find the right sound palette for your particular musical needs.
What experience do have, I hear you ask? Well, I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music specialising in composition, orchestration & arranging, music theory and music production. I also have professional experience writing for short and feature films, animations, video games, sonic branding and the concert hall. On the other hand, I'm a huge film buff which enables me to keep up to date with musical trends and how music is used poorly and effectively in films.

If you're interested in hiring me or need advice on a project feel to contact me via my website: www.mitchell-gibbs.com.

You can find my portfolio and work history on my website, or listen to additional samples on my Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/mitchell-gibbs-music.

I hope to work with you soon!

Very best,

Mitchell Gibbs

By "hire" do you by any chance mean that if I ask you to make music, you would not charge me a cent, and would accept payment as being able to use my film as an example of how you are progressing musically speaking as part of your portfolio?

Or do you mean you require financial compensation on an indie site from a member who has little to no money in his budget for music for his first film?

Hi Matt,

I treat every single job individually regardless if you have a budget of million pounds or one hundred pounds. I've worked with many filmmakers on here and they've been very happy with not only my music, but also my pricing. As I don't have a fixed rate, I can be very flexible around budgetary requirements of each client.

Very best,

Mitchell.

That demo reel is one of the best I've seen here Mitchell. I just made breakfast to it.

The superman and epic buildup tracks are pretty good too. They're all pretty good. They sound like real movie music.

Very nice.

Thank-you very much for that comment, truly means a lot. Must of been some pretty epic breakfast too, haha.

I agree; nice stuff! Very good use of percussive and sound effect riffs. Are you a Native Instruments user?

Hi everyone!

I've been busy of late, just finished working on two great short films, more information about them coming soon. I recently composed my third library track for the Resource Sound Group called 'Afterlife'. Not as 'epic' as my first two tracks, a slower more delicate approach, take a listen!

( )

I'm currently available to take on some more projects, so please don't hesitate to contact me at mitchell@mitchell-gibbs.com.

Very best,

Here's a review for 'Me & My Brian', a short film I composed the music for. There's also a brief mention of my score, too!
