NON sexualized female lead movies
I'm trying to compile a list of recent (2000 or newer) movies, with a lead female character that aren't sexualized (aka non leather wearing or no shirt skirt) and kicking ass.
I can only come up with several titles:
Flightplan
Salt
Silent Hill
What else?

Aeon Fluxx is very entertaining.
The movie has highly underrated science fiction story elements too.
It's in my collection of DVDs that I own.

Imagine the emotionally barren PC world of the future where being aroused or stimulated is so far passed illegal that the emotions are forgotten.

Lol @ wearing leather. Why does that matter....also what do you mean by sexualized? Angelie Jolie is a sex symbol, so why did you add Salt?
I'll compile my lst by they may go against your rules. My list is strong female leads.
Vale's Female Leads
- Alien
- The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo
- Kick Ass (the little girl)
- The Legend of Korra (tv show, but the most popular on Nick)
- Million Dollar Baby

Vale, good call with Million Dollar Baby. Mo Cuishle is one of my favorite characters of all time, from any genre.
Dragon Tattoo isn't sexualized?
Hit-Girl is borderline. So long as you're not F'd in the head, no adult would see her as a sex-object, but I'm sure pretty much every 13-year-old boy did, and her costume had something to do with that.
MDM, good call on the Alien series. Ripley is the best!

I think that's one of the most fetishised female leads in cinema history.
(Lisbeth Salander is up there too though...)

Skin-tight leather outfit, with the top half of the jacket unzipped. Nothing sexual about that. Beatrix Kiddo is definitely sexualized. Plus, there is the near-rape scene. I think that has at least a little to do with sex.
