Creating a Dwarf character?

Hello everyone.

I'll be shooting a fantasy short film in a few weeks and I would like to have a wizard dwarf.

I was thinking of telling my actor to stand on his knees ,then put a long robe / cloak on him and put the mask. Then,I would not make too much close ups.

OR I could just tell the story in a way, that this guy has some sort of injuries on his face and that's why he is always wearing a smiley mask, even though he is not smiley at all.

I would really want to put a dwarf in my film, since there are a lot of really beautiful landscapes and adding some sort of fantasy creature to my film will really fit my style and what I really love about films - creating your own world.

What do you think?Shall I kill my baby and completely remove the character for the sake of realism and replace it with something else,or I should go for some of the 2 types?Or maybe you have any other ideas?

Thanks a lot !

I was thinking about this mask

You should have cast a dwarf for the role.

Specify the physical characteristics in you character breakdowns and stick to it.

Hold off on shooting until you cast a dwarf.

Warwick Davis is a dwarf actor.
