Thanks! This one was fun to make. I shot wilds for the first time. Definitely doing that again.

That's some serious sauce!

...and are you supposed to have fun while making them? Is off-camera frivolity allowed? I call foul. Serious foul.

The seriousness has metastasized.

Looks like (no) fun.

I don't think you have a five second dramatic pause, though.
And your audio sounds great.
Most all of these others are terrible: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mqo8x...D&feature=plcp

With news like that I hope they end up with some hard apple ciders in part II.

Fun.

Oh wait... it's not supposed to be fun.

Serious, dude, way serious.

Many thanks!

Ray, I don't know if it counts as an "awkward pause", but there is a dialog-free five seconds, in between "And?" and "It's metastasized". Is it awkward?

Hmmm...
six votes for awkward, half dozen for not.

With a cursory search about the net it seems no one has a solid guess as to WTH Armisen is up to with this odd little project.
I am impressed with the breadth of media giving such a non-difinitive deviation attention.

  • Rule #1: It has to be serious.
  • Rule #2: Thirty seconds or less.
  • Rule #3: Two people max.
  • Rule #4: There must be a five second dramatic pause.
  • Rule #5: Cutaway to an inanimate object.
  • Rule #6: Best acting job possible.
  • Rule #7: End with a door slam

Oh, it has to be dramatic, not necessarily awkward? Then I say I meet that qualification!

I don't think he's doing anything with it. I think it's just a way to draw attention to "Portlandia", and I'm cool with that.
