Once you get everything set up and figure out how much you need to do the reshoots, send me a PM with how much you need to do it right. I'll do what I can.

I get to Chicago on thursday, im fine. I wake up friday, i feel twinges here and there in my back. I get to dready's and we have a meeting for four hours during which she watches me decompose before her eyes. By the time i leave, i can barely walk. By evening i can not get off the floor...

Ive been to an orthopedic doc since ive been back and it turns out i have a herniated disc.

My apologies to Dready once again for the awful timing. Im glad she says the footage is looking good because i felt i did not do anywhere near my best work. 70% of my mind was concentrated on the constant pain i was experiencing and i think her film may have suffered because of it

Thanks, Flicker, CF... and i suppose, Ray... for the get well wishes. Im on the way but apparently it's going to be a slow recovery.

A big thanks to Dready for being so nice and helpful while i was falling all over the place. She did a wonderful job of managing the whole production and getting all the shots in the can with the time we had. Amazing.

As for the missing footage... was that from the first or second day? I still have the shots from the second day if you need them, Dreads.

Dang, that's more serious than it sounded at first, Ernest. I've played a doctor on TV... I recommend you take it easy and get some rest.

Nice to see you're at least well enough again for IndieTalk! Herniated disc though... man that seriously blows. I hope your recovery is miraculously faster than expected. On the bright side now you'll have time to do another director article for Nick

As for the footage, it was day one. At least I learned a valuable lesson to check every file after the transfer and not just a few.

I rented a t3i and the same 10-22mm we were using for that scene. Luckily, I have some recent experience with canon DSLRs

Rest up and feel better, dude! And I'll be in touch before the reshoot to see if you've got any pointers

Well, you know my number. Beforehand and/or even during the shoot if you need.

I've had the footage for a little more than a week, and I'll be delivering the 1st rough cut real soon.

Yep. Just got a full rough cut from C-Funk. I'm so happy about the way this is turning out!

So what's left to do is basically, finish with final tweaks on the editing; find a composer; a little composite work; color correction/grading; and sound design.

If everything goes smoothly, I'm hoping we can get a final product by the end of the month!

Thanks again to everyone for their encouragement and support! From writing to filming and on through editing, your help has been invaluable.

More to come soon as we near completion!

This thing is kinda perfectly-timed. By the time you're sending it out, you'll be sending it to fests that will be screening in the winter-time. So, that Christmas theme is going to be an added boost to a movie that I suspect a lot of fests are going to want to get their hands on. It's a fun movie, and of course it's only going to get better with music.

Got an awesome composer by the name of John Pill. He's got the footage and is working on the score now

I've also attached some stills from the short. Enjoy!

I can confirm that John Phil is pretty rad. Looking forward to hearing his finished product!
