After the lights went out, Samuel goes for a walk down at the beach and stumbles upon a half-conscious girl (Monica Mattos); who had just apparently drawned and presents reliable traces of amnesia. Soon he will realize that he is up for a bigger threat than what he imagined. She had been probably infected with some strange kind of virus which is causing her to mutate into something that may change both of their lifes... and deaths, forever!

Produced and directed by Newton Uzeda.

Starring the Brazilian Porn Star AVN Award Winner Monica Mattos.

This is a independent film made in honor of the horror cult classics from the 70´s and 80´s.

Filmed with Canon DSLR cameras, T2i(550D) and 5D Mark II.

Many of the shots seem to dark to me (perhaps it's a youtube compression thing). Could just be a style thing as well - and for that, I'd have to see the whole film. I don't speak Spanish well enough to understand what was happening, but the acting seemed visually good in the trailer. I'd watch it - do you have a dubbed version or one with subtitles in english?
 
18 minutes is a bit long for a short, and @ 2min I quit due to lack of interest.

The image is pretty muddy, very SD-ish, and with the camera's you've listed IDK how the resolution got dropped.

The cross-fade cuts were odd.

I'm not trying to be mean, Ray, but not every short film has to be 1 minute to satisfy the people with an attention span of a 5 yr old. I prefer a little substance with the short films I watch, especially if they are good.

I'd see the film although I'm not too great at Spanish! It looks fun!

FWIW, listening for a heartbeat in her right breast @ 3:40 was... somewhat interesting. I think his CPR instructor would disapprove, though. ;)

I watched the whole thing, on my cheap laptop yeah the first five minutes are underlit then it get's much better. There's a good shower scene and no one needs to worry about it being non english (Portugese is the lengua of Brazil ). I don't know if the filmmaker is asking for advice on how to improve it though.

Hello all! How are you guys?

First of all, thank you for watching and comenting! I´m very happy that there are people watching!

Well, brianluce, all coments are most welcome! So if you have any coments on how to improve, I´ll sure read them all and make some tests and possibly use in some future film.

In relation of the light, i was intentional at some point to be dark, but then the rendering and the web compression made the film even darker!

As for the resolution matter, we tryed to get some 70´s / 80´s look, and them we drop the resolution. Not very successful I´m afraid. :)

As for the language, I thought that vimeo has some subtitles options, and was planing to upload them. But then I´ve discovered that people are questioning vimeo for more than 3 years on this matter! I was thinking in upload a version with english subtitle embed in it. But as there are so little dialogs, and our intent was that the images could told the story by itselfes, I was not sure that this was necessary. Seems I was wrong. :)

Hope this explains some of the questions about the movie.

Personally I don't think the movie needs dialog. A guy finds a hot chick on the beach, takes her home, and she goes nuts. Kinda like most marriages.

You know brianluce, I have a friend who says all my scripts starts with a guy who finds a girl, and then hell breaks loose! lol!
