watch Promo trailer for sexy superhero movie!

Hey everyone,

Here is a trailer I put together to help promote my all female superhero movie "The Super-Vixens"

Let me know if it's done the job of making you want to see the film? Like a trailer should.

Teaser Trailer

Enjoy.

Best of luck on your Indiegogo.com campaign. I found the trailer a bit repetitive. A shot of one girl then another girl then another. It seems like it really needs a story. Giving it a story might help your campaign. Escher, does have a strong point here. The "exploitation" video market seems to have died with the internet's easy access to erotic material for free. Today the makers of erotic films need to be very clever to stand out. Thanks for sharing. I hope that helps.

Exploitation isn't dead but it's on life support.
Exploitation revolves around pushing the boundaries and when boundaries no longer exist...

As far as the teaser, I expect you did it because of limited budget at this stage, but the fact everything is shot in front of green screen did me in. It gives the impression the film would be shot that way, which means I wouldn't watch it if you paid me.

Porn can be a successful genre if done right but i don't know if thats where your going with this.
Looks like your trying exploitation. Could be good but need better effects. Like Sin City or even Aiden 5? online i believe it is.

I mean I think there is a market for this, but it's limited. It's the Troma market. Which is better than no market at all for sure. Troma would give you (screw you on) a distribution deal for this in a heartbeat.

Actually the description on the Indiegogo page says that the feature will be shot this way, and they need $50k to do it...

$50k is a LOT of money for a first time (or unknown) project. Good luck raising it man. Not my bag, but I'm not everyone!

It kinda looked like an erotic "I, Creator" which would be the most horrifying thing ever.
LMAO!
Perfect!
Exactly what I was thinking which is often not a good thing.

This had better be campy AND funny as h3ll to pull this ridiculousness off well.
(Er... I can safely say that about a movie with an all female cast, right?)

Thanks all for the constructive feedback. I'm trying for a stylized comic book feel like Sin City and 300. Am also focusing on over the top action and dialogue.

Although I understand some people don't like green screen. I also hate the cheap sets and locations that low budget filmmakers have to use.

Here is the first scene from my film. It is set in space on a space lab. Most people would film in their kitchen or hang some foil in the garage. This video demonstrates the comic book aesthetic I like. Not photo realistic but a page come to life.

Would your plan be to upgrade some of the animations?
Even more than the green screen, the 3-d animations are just SO bad (look like bad auto-cad) the illusion is just gone. Am I reading right that this would be where a good portion of the money went.

Any of you green screen veterans know why the Prologue live action layer looks so jittery against the static background?

Theoretically, the live action layer is shot from a stable tripod as well, so I don't understand why layering the two produces a static background with a jittery "subject" layer.

(The keying out reflections on the shiny suit and some of the shadow issues I figured out).

Thank you in advance!

Supervixens -
There's absolutely no way I can tell anyone how to do their "thing".
I can already tell you've put in some sincere work on this, and for that you have my enduring respect.
This looks like a lot of work on a project professional critics would call "too self important".
I think a truck load of humor in the story would go a long, long way.
A very long way.

Soo much cheese! I can't see this getting funding with your current approach.

Have you considered the alternatives to greenscreen? Like finding a half decent set and Matte painting the rest in? Keep your actors framed sensibly and pay a decent digital artist to Matte the shots.

Your comment about tin foil kitchens sounds idiotic when you're presenting such a poor standard of CGI.

I understand your concern. This only works though if you have good CG sets. Your modeling is mediocre and you don't even texture a lot of your models. Not to mention you aren't very good at keying out color--there are times when part of the character's outfit disappears.

I would have gone standard sets.

Don't get me wrong, this is ambitious and I respect you for making it happen. And heck, part of me wishes I worked on this...lol...if you know what I mean.

PS. If you're going to use CGI...at least texture all of your models.

About 80% of the horrible CG could be fixed just by using a realistic lighting model and physically-based materials. This is pretty much bog-standard now so it pains me when I see video CG that's worse than most realtime video games.

I agree with everyone's feedback on the green screen effects quality. Just wondering your profile says "Australia" Aren't you surrounded by amazing landscapes of natural beauty? US based filmmakers fly to AU and NZ all the time for the locations. And you are there using green screens! It's kind of ironic. :)

It's a space and urban sorta themed show.
I'm pretty sure scantily clad supervixens outdoors is not why he created a green screen room.
And I really don't think he wants to drag them all over the countryside to put 'em outside dressed as they are for the roles.

I think he knows what he wants and he's roughly assembled a semi-workable idea.
He needs a little more technical know how and some story guidance.

Chicks in space.
Green screen aesthetic.
Keeps travel expenses down.
Broader background capabilities.
Works with the genre.
Cool.
Great.

Just do it right.
Especially for the dough he's asking for.

I thought this was an I Creator for a second very similar except more sexy shots of better looking girls. Definately shows off their features but as far as story gives us nothing and sure has a cheese factor with low quality CGI but maybe that is what you wanted.

Did you find your actresses at the Strip Club?
