What's the name of your feature?
Battle of the shells

What's the logline and Synopsis of your feature?
A documentary series with 7 episodes about a group of 6 fish from Lake Tanganyika. They fight, forge alliances and change their habitat in a battle for their right to live in a shell-bed.

Their range and diversity of behaviors and emotions is only rivaled by social mammals. The story is narrated by one of the fish.

Where's the trailer, facebook page, website?

Is it complete or being completed?
Just writing the soundtrack of the last episodes and the whole thing will be finished.

How long were you in production (from pre-to-post)?
From March'11 till July'12. Gathered over 1200 hours of footage during 6 weeks of filming. 90% of the production work was editing those endless hours of footage that looked just the same.

Do you see distribution in your future or have you been distro'd?
Not sure, I can't have a clear ideia of what I did, the images and the words no longer make sense in my head. What do you think? What is "distro'd"?

What's the back-up plan?
Put my head inside the aquarium and try to breath slowly.

$50,000 budget, hardest thing I've ever done. I still do have to believe I'll make my money back. The movie turned out cool as shit, with a wide audience base. Also, going with the new-day remake movie theme.

Started Christmas 2011, gonna have a 500 person private screening in Philadelphia August 12th.

I've heard to be a successful film maker I have to talk about my next project, "The Judge" A vampire who can save the world. But are we worthy?

Hickory Never Bleeds

What's the logline and Synopsis of your feature?
Fearing an unseen threat in their woods, and facing ridicule by the local media, the small town of Farr appoints a makeshift “Monster Defense Team” to investigate and remedy the bizarre situation.

This sci-fi mockumentary film follows the efforts of the team’s individual members, while allowing the quirky town residents to share their theories on what’s lurking in the woods, and what they think should be done about it.

Is it complete or being completed?
Complete.

How long were you in production (from pre-to-post)?
October 2011 - July 2012

Do you see distribution in your future or have you been distro'd?
Considered doing a little self-distribution but major distribution was never part of the plan.
Gearing up to do some screenings, so we'll see how folks like it.

What's the back-up plan?
This was a really low-budget film, so I didn't develop any sort of backup plan as there isn't much risk associated with it.

Some great looking films on here. The two that caught my eye most, just reviewing the thread, are Footsteps and Hickory Never Bleeds. I'm interested to see how those two end up.

I should have something for this thread once we get a trailer cut

We will be in production until the middle of September.

Do you see distribution in your future or have you been distro'd?
We definitely see that this project has an immense amount of ability to be distributed. We already have interest from a studio.

What's the back-up plan?
We have two other projects on the horizon. One horror film and an action film, but because of our confidence in this project, they are not really back up plans, but additions.
