What's the name of your feature?

Roman's Bride

What's the logline and Synopsis of your feature?

Roman’s Bride’ is the story of Lily Heller, a rural Iowa woman torn between a repressive faith and an unrequited love for life-long neighbor Roman. Indulged in her world only by doting childhood friend Amos, Lily exists in a self-restricted isolation. When Roman and his girlfriend announce plans to marry, Lily’s fragile psyche collides fiercely with an immorality she sees permeating her world. And in Lily’s world, sins must be punished.

Where's the trailer, facebook page, website?

http://www.romansbride.com
http://www.facebook.com/romansbride

Is it complete or being completed?

Completed

How long were you in production (from pre-to-post)?

3 years.
Everyone held full time jobs, so we shot exteriors on available weekends over the summers. And interiors over the winter. The film takes place during harvest time in the midwest so that dictated what we could shoot when. Do not know ultimately the total number of shooting days or hours shot off the top of my head.

Do you see distribution in your future or have you been distro'd?

Played some festivals. No distribution.

What's the back-up plan?

Currently working on producing a DVD for self-distribution.

Sweet.

I've seen a few people posting around about their features. No one wants to add to the list?

Ok, Here I go:

What's the name of your feature?
Average Joe

What's the logline and Synopsis of your feature?
After losing his wife in a shooting years prior, Joe tries an online dating service to try to get past the loss... the fates have a different idea.

Where's the trailer, facebook page, website?
http://yafiunderground.com/AJ/index.html
http://yafiunderground.com/Video/AJ_Teaser_sm.mov
and for the brave, the last rough cut of it:
http://yafiunderground.com/Video/AJ-2007-05-25.mov

Is it complete or being completed?
Having to restart editing from scratch, I imported everything incorrectly and have to reimport all 47 hours Shot in 2003, I'm still determined to finish it and get it entered into a festival (the original goal of the project)... it doesn't need to be accepted, just entered.

How long were you in production (from pre-to-post)?
2002 through current (2011) and a ways into the future perhaps.

Do you see distribution in your future or have you been distro'd?
Just want to have it entered into one festival to live up to the original goal, it'll never be high enough quality to screen really.

What's the back-up plan?
Finish it at some point and move forward. But the lessons I learned on that set have made every other production I've done much stronger... taught me how to edit dialog as well as the actors came in without their lines memorized and we had to do 3 lines at a time to get enough material to cut through. I learned that I could pace a dialog if I was building it myself. This fundamental failure was the best project I've done and I learned more from the failure than anything I've done since. I highly recommend just going for it! Budget was $250, no big deal really... but I owe it to the cast and crew to finish... and to myself.

I did just finish converting a chunk of the footage (found in my backup cold storage harddrives) to something usable (seems to be some audio lock problems, I'll have to sort those out). So, that's technically forward progress.

What's the name of your feature?

H.P. Lovecraft's Arkham Sanitarium

What's the logline and Synopsis of your feature?

"Some places are built evil"

Arkham Sanitarium is an anthology of three short stories faithfully adapted from the works of H.P. Lovecraft – each of the three stories is set in 1930’s New England (specifically Providence, Rhode Island and the fictional town of Arkham, Massachusetts). The stories are connected by an original ‘wraparound’ story. In this story – set in the 1950’s – Alice Crow investigates the strange stories surrounding the infamous Arkham Sanitarium.

The Haunter of the Dark
Robert Blake, author and artist returns to Providence to research a shadowy cult for his new book – against the warnings of his friend Ambrose Dexter he tracks down the old church where the cult performed their dark rituals – in the dusty, decrepit ruins he finds an ancient device that summons a monstrous creature intent on destroying him.

The Shunned House
Phillip Whipple, a Miskatonic University medical student returns to Providence to help his uncle Elihu move house. Phillip finds his uncle’s notes on ‘The Shunned House’ – an old, crumbling place with a bad reputation. Phillip was trapped there once as a child and saw something he couldn’t explain so with his uncle’s assistance, the pair seek to uncover why an alarming number of people have died there.

The Thing on the Doorstep
Edward Derby, a poet and fantasist, falls for Asenath, a cold but hypnotically beautiful student at Miskatonic University – the pair wed shortly after despite Edward’s close friend, Daniel Upton having concerns about the marriage. Daniel’s worries are well-founded - Asenath is the daughter of Ephraim Waite – an old man rumoured to be a practitioner of black magic before his recent death.

What's the name of your feature?

The Golden Scallop

What's the logline and Synopsis of your feature?

Every year since 1969 the best three fried fish restaurants in the northeast have competed in the Golden Scallop Championship. The 43rd annual pits a food truck seeking redemption, an aging former champion and a well financed, novelty friendly fish house against each other in the truest test of short order cooking mettle. Follow the excitement, hilarity, and chaos as "The Golden Scallop" tracks these teams from selection till the glory of victory or the agony of defeat

Where's the trailer, facebook page, website?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2108629/

Website / FB page / all other marketing sites are currently being built.

Is it complete or being completed?

Just at the start of post production, has taken us about a month to transcode all the RED footage into FCP.

How long were you in production (from pre-to-post)?

Pre - March - October
Pro - October 16 - November 9
Post - November 9 - April 1 (Hopefully)

Do you see distribution in your future or have you been distro'd?

Really think this movie has a chance to be very special, right now aiming for major film festivals for the first year then secondary in 2013 if nothing happens.

What's the back-up plan?

That the movie stands out alone and even without distro can secure funding for a higher budget feature that we have planned.
