Nick, I want my two slices and a knut, cuz I know which ones you! Cute brunette, with the skateboard, right? Dude, so you're shooting "The Samurai"? Awesome.
Cool thread, Vader.
First photo, from this year's 48HFP, "Pigs in a Blanket" (will be posting in screening room, next week). In this photo, you can see my super-fancy boom pole. We taped our mic to a broomstick (my friend who let's me use his nice boom-pole was using it, himself, on his own 48HFP.
You can also see our super-expensive light setup. Yes, that is a bedroom sheet being used for diffusion, with the blue gel in front of the sheet.
Also, see that little mini can of Coke? Those little 8oz cans are awesome. We devoured a case of them on this shoot.
And then, from the same shoot, this pic requires a setup. So, I needed a shot of my lead actress peaking through the blinds, taken from outside. By now, we've done three or four takes, as I keep trying to get a combination of the perfect shot that doesn't have my unsavory reflection in it. On the fourth of fifth take, our boom operator, Hunter (pictured above), thought we'd get a good laugh by introducing a guest star, Jean-Luc. I just about died laughing.
