Tips to make fire wrap around my hand that's animatable?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AzCgUp1j-uo

So I did this pyrokinesis video. I used mesh warp to make the fire kind of wrap around my fingers and follow the contour of my hand. Problem is, it isn't animate-able I think? I couldn't find where to keyframe points so it would wrap continuously with my hand.

Anyone know of a possible clever solution built into After Effects?

Hum.. Ill look at home.. but I think you can key frame the entire Mesh ...

try key framing from the effects panel and not the time line...

You can animate the mesh warp points or use the puppet tool.

So happy to see someone doing some FX work. I was beginning to think people had given up in the wake of action essentials 2.

Hey I do my own VFX!
I just use Action Essentials to add a little backgrund noise. I mean, I can't handle simulating every smoke plum in the screen!

Get some rubbing alcohol, wrap your hand in a cloth, dip it in, grab a lighter, light it, maintain a safe distance from your clothes and face/hair... Or did you mean during post? That's gonna be a little different
